You will be able to see that each of the principal "objects" in DanceData
is available in its own 'tab'. When DanceData is started, the first page,
that containing the information on dances, is displayed. All dances known
are in the list box on the left. At the time of creation of this screenshot,
there were 8,627 such dances.
The individual attributes of the dance are displayed in the fields
at the top as you can see for 8th Battalion. Information which is unable
to be represented in a single field is presented in the set of tabs on
the right hand side of the page.
This is the
window used to narrow down the search for dances. You will see that I have
asked for all 2-couple 32 bar reels in a longwise set, devised by Roy Goldring,
containing a poussette but with no pas-de-basque. In addition, I must have
the instructions and a suitable recording. (Needless to say, the results
of this query are non-existent).
